1. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use Huusli, we may process account data such as your email address, password hash, email-verification status, and basic profile details from Google sign-in. We may also process subscription and billing-related data, saved searches, favorites, usage counters, support messages, and technical data such as IP address, browser details, language, referral URLs, and cookie or session identifiers.

2. How We Use Data

We use personal data to create and manage accounts, authenticate logins, run subscriptions and trials, show saved searches and favorites, send transactional emails, prevent abuse, measure product usage, and improve the service. We may also use data to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and investigate fraud or security incidents.

3. Legal Bases

Where applicable, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service or take steps at your request, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing Huusli, because you gave consent for optional tracking, or because the law requires it.

4. Sharing and Processors

We share personal data only where needed to operate Huusli. This can include payment providers, email providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, hosting or database providers, and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.

5. Key Providers

Huusli currently relies on third-party services such as Stripe for checkout and subscription billing, Google if you choose Google sign-in, email delivery providers for verification and account emails, Plausible for product analytics, and Microsoft Clarity where consent is given. Those providers may process data under their own privacy terms when you use their services.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Huusli uses cookies and similar technologies for core site functions and limited measurement. This includes session-related cookies, language and consent preferences, and a trial-device identifier used to limit abusive repeat trial activations. Plausible analytics is used for privacy-conscious product measurement. Microsoft Clarity is only enabled after consent through the cookie banner.

7. International Transfers

Some providers may process data outside Switzerland. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on an adequate legal basis under applicable data protection law, such as a country with recognised adequate protection or contractual safeguards.

8. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide Huusli, maintain subscriptions and account history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service from abuse. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where reasonably possible.

9. Your Rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or information about the processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent for optional processing that depends on consent. You can contact us at [email protected]. If you have an account, you can also update certain account details directly and delete your account from the account area.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date on this page. Material changes may also be highlighted in the product or by email where appropriate.
