Residential project in Zürich

Architectural Vision

Markstein AG

«•••••••» is a residential complex located in Zürich Höngg, composed of six buildings arranged in two parallel rows that follow the slope of the land. The architectural design features various projections and recesses, contributing to a dynamic profile that integrates well with the village-like surroundings. The complex comprises a total of 60 ownership apartments, designed to provide residents with a connection to nature through ample greenery and views of fields and meadows.

The layout includes generous living spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering extensive sightlines to the natural environment. Unique to this development are the private balconies at the southern corners of the buildings, which rise above the structure, and a carefully renovated historic barn that serves as a communal area for residents. Additional common spaces include an outdoor lounge and a playground, creating a social hub within the community.

This thoughtful arrangement not only emphasizes privacy for individual units but also enhances community interaction through semi-private passageways developed as pergolas. Overall, the design of «•••••••» fosters a harmonious balance between private living and communal engagement, set against a backdrop of rich landscaping inspired by the surrounding cultural landscape.
